Do you have a folder that has to be hidden on your computer? Perhaps you have children who are playing on your computer and you need to hide your work, or you have something that you don’t want even your partner to see! Don’t worry, I’m not here to pass judgement; instead, I’m here to help you find a solution.

Step 1: Create your folder
Create your folder, unless you already have one, and as I’m writing this, I realized that you won’t be reading this unless you already have one, so skip this step and move on to step 2.
Step 2: Rename
Select rename from the context menu when you right-click on the folder. Now, on your Num Pad, press ALT + 255 and enter to make the folder name dissapear.
Step 3: Make the Icon Invisible part 1
On your browser, type “blank icon.ico” and select the first indexed page.
Now select the one that is completely blank and save it as an .ico file. (As can be seen in the images below.)
Step 4: Make the icon invisible part 2
Select properties from the menu when you right-click on your folder and select customize.
Simply select “Change Icon” and select the blank icon that we just downloaded.
After hitting apply, you’ll notice that your folder has vanished entirely. But don’t worry; If you move your cursor over that area of your screen, you’ll be able to see your folder again (see the example below.)
