How to Recover a WiFi Password

Hi guys, in this post I’ll show you how to recover your WiFi password if you’ve forgotten it. This tutorial will only work if you are connected to your network via WiFi.

Step 1

Press “Win +R”

You should now see a window that has just opened; if you pressed the correct keys on your keyboard, go to step 2; if not, go back to step 1.

win R

Step 2

Type “cmd” and Press enter.

cmd

This will open your command prompt which we’ll be using in our final step!

Step 3

Type the following command in your cmd

“netsh wlan show profile YOUR_NETWORK_NAME key=clear”

Just replace “YOUR_NETWORK_NAME” with your actual network name.

netsh

We are done!  You’ll see your WiFi password next to “Security Key”.

Conclusion
